I rest my head on His chest, tired and worn out, dirty and undeserving - He never fails to wrap His arms around me in ever-loving faithfulness. I hear the heartbeat of His heart through His chest, and His heart is beating an absolute love. His waves of grace and mercy wash over me as I grasp the robes He has clothed me with - His robes of righteousness and purity. My tears fall as I try to comprehend all He has done for me, and I realise that He has done everything for me. Jesus, the most beautiful name that I know.. You wipe my tears away and I feel Your tears drop on me - Why are you crying with me, Jesus? - just as You bled on the cross for me, You feel my hurt and you know my pain. Even when I cannot understand my heart and I depend on You through the storm, You know me and You are faithful.
And I rest my head on His chest - tired and worn out, dirty and undeserving - But His breath brings life to me.
He loves me..
He loves me.
keep me as the apple of Your eye; hide me in the shadow of Your wings {psalms 17:8}

The tongue that brings healing is a tree of life, but a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit.
"The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit." (Proverbs 18:21)
God has clearly stated that the tongue has a certain amount of power to it - the power to bring life and the power to bring death.
Sometimes people don't think about what they're going to say before they say it - it just comes out of their mouths. And certain times it can be very hurtful even when they don't realise it. What they don't realise is that although the "tongue is a small part of the body - but it makes great boasts." It is compared to as a 'small spark that can set a whole forest on fire'.
As it is, the things we say have an impact on other peoples lives. We can use our tongue to bring the power of life and healing by encouraging people in Christ, and even small things like, "You look beautiful today.", or we can bring death and spark off a forest fire with our hardly-thought-of insults, judgments and discouraging comments ("I don't think you can do it", anyone?).
I have been hurt before by many careless comments by people who didn't think twice before saying something, and they did not think of the consequences of those words. I have seen hurt appear in peoples eyes when others throw an insult that they thought was seemingly funny, and that person just hid it with a smile. I have seen people take an insulting joke and throw it off with a laugh, only to turn around with an aching heart.
The thing is, the words you say could very well turn into a lifetime of hurt and grief for someone.
You might think it was just a funny comment, hardly an insult, oh you were 'just kidding', why'd she/he have to take it so seriously? But be reminded that God has given you this tongue to edify others and to build others up, for encouragement and for the glory of God.
"With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be. Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring? My brothers and sisters, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water."
(James 3:9-12)
You could choose to scar someone emotionally with the hurtful words you say - or you could choose to bring life & healing to souls and glorify God the Father that deserves more than what we could ever give.
Think before you say something. God, help me to think before I say something.

"He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name.." (Psalms 147:4)
He placed the stars in the sky, He knows the exact number of stars there are, He calls each one by name. He is magnificent, His understanding has no limit, He is amazing, He is the sustainer, He is my strength, He is our Love.
Sometimes we feel as if we don’t understand ourselves – what we want, how we feel, what’s wrong with us, or what we should do about it. But God’s understanding has no limit, and therefore He understands us fully. If you feel troubled and don’t understand yourself - remember that God understands you perfectly.
The God that has placed each and every star in the sky and personally knows each one by their name - If He could care for a single star that much, imagine.. how much He really cares for you, a son and daughter of His.

I don't know what to feel - Angry, guilty, terrified, sad? Here I am, enjoying the abundant blessings of all that God has given me.. A safe home, loving parents, a beautiful church, a nation where I am free to worship my God. And there are millions of people out there hurting and wondering if there is a God out there who cares.
Another earthquake has struck Christchurch just barely five months after the last. This is so devastating and a lot were killed and people who just moved on from the past calamity were then again put into danger. They need beds, the need medicine, they need anything we're willing to give. I mean, we cannot blame anyone here. It’s nature’s game. But once again, I'm reminded that God is in control.
"I am the LORD, and there is no other; apart from Me there is no God. I will strengthen you, though you have not acknowledged Me, so that from the rising of the sun to the place of its setting people may know there is none besides Me.
I am the LORD, and there is no other. I form the light and create darkness, I bring prosperity and create disaster; I, the LORD, do all these things." (Isaiah 45:5-7)
Libya - This issue is a lot more troubling. It’s too much for me to bear. Watching the videos, reading the live feeds, seeing images of the 5-inch bullets that are being used close-range on the people. Right now, at this very moment, there is a GENOCIDE going on in Libya. Soldiers are being burned for refusing to shoot protesters - Protesters are getting bombed down, lives lost, families broken. People with lost limbs and blown up bodies litter the streets, people around them wailing and screaming out to their god for help.
Don't know the reality of whats going on? Youtube. Google. Watch the sickening videos of people being operated on in the middle of the streets, of the bullets used to shoot down protesters which were meant for use on VEHICLES, people being literally shot down just for walking in the street and protesting.
On 20th February 2011, the death count in Libya is more than 500 and counting. The protests started on the 17th February 2011.
All they want is freedom. But seeing the lives lost, the blood shed and the people crying out in desperation - I just can't seem to comprehend this freedom they are searching for. Once again, my heart breaks a million times over and it seems like Satan has control in so many ways in this world.
But.
My Jesus is bigger, He is stronger, He is greater, in every way and every situation.
For no one is cast off by the Lord forever. Though He brings grief, He will show compassion, so great is his unfailing love. For He does not willingly bring affliction or grief to anyone. (Lamentations 3:31-33)

1. Clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
2. Bear with each other.
3. Forgive others if you have a grievance against them.
4. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
5. Above all, put on Love, because it binds all things together in perfect unity.
6. Allow the peace of Christ to rule in your hearts, because we as members of one body (The church, the believers) are called to peace.
7. Be thankful.
8. Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and advice others earnestly with God-given wisdom through psalms, hymns and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.
9. Whatever you do, in word or actions, do it all in the name of Lord Jesus -
10. And remember to give thanks to God the Father through Him :)

Everyone needs forgiveness, the kindness of a Saviour.
Othniel said something today - "Often times, we feel like we still haven't been forgiven- When the fact is, we've already been forgiven a long time ago."
Sometimes we still feel the need to say sorry over and over again to God, over something bad we did. We feel like our sorry is simply not enough and we have to keep reminding God that we're sorry and pray that we hope He forgives us..
When the fact is, He forgave us a long time ago. He forgave us the moment we repented and said sorry. He forgave us like He forgave the thief on the day He was crucified. God doesn't do forgiveness deals - 'Alright, if I forgive you, you have to go and talk to so-and-so about Christ. You have to memorise three chapters of the bible. Then I'll forgive you.' - No! He forgives us the moment we are sorry. Because He's our Father and He loves us.
He doesn't punish us for the sins we do - He teaches us. Lets accept His forgiveness :)

Down upon my knees, I'm lost in worship, humbled by Your majesty.
What is there to say, but how I love you?
Thank you for forgiving me
No one is as lovely as You are, there is no one else who has my heart..
Jesus, You have me completely, every breath that I breathe, I am absolutely in love.
Jesus, I am Yours forever, all of me surrenders, I am absolutely in love.. with You.
All I am is yours, all I am is Yours,
Only Yours.

Sometimes I feel like I can't wait to get out of highschool. The distance between Form4 -------------> End of Form5 seems immensely long! Exams, tests, quizzes, exams. When I look back from Primary 1 -------> Now, I realise that our nations education system is super exam-oriented.
The reason we go to school = To study = Study, get good results = Pass exams = Study more = Sit for more exams = Pass? Good = Study more, new exam coming up = Study = Pass exams = Tadah! Finished primary school all the way to highschool! Congratulations! Now you may go on to college/university and study some more.
We get through primary school to pass our UPSR, then we get through the earlier part of secondary school to pass our PMR, then we get through the later part of sec school to pass our SPM.
Its all a bit pessimistic for me, I don't want to go through school and in the end feel like I haven't achieved anything else other than straight A's in exams..

Girls watching Korean dramas and wishing their future boyfriend will be someone as handsome, as sweet, as romantic as those pretty boys. Poor guys having such burdens on them to be as 'perfect' as the Korean pretty boys in the dramas.
Girls watching Korean dramas and wishing they were as pretty, as tall, as sweet, as innocent as those beautiful girls. Poor girls thinking they are more inferior than those 'perfect' Korean girls in the dramas.
Like it or not, when we see someone prettier, handsomer, taller, smarter, richer, slimmer, toned, 'perfect', we look at ourselves in the mirror- And question ourselves. And question God. And question life. And we can't seem to believe God's word when He says we are Wonderfully & Fearfully made.
I would say its retarded, the expectations of girls for their future boyfriend to be as 'perfect' as those in the movies or dramas. Its called acting for a reason - Its an act. Its dumb for guys to expect girls to be as 'perfect' as the girls in the movies or dramas. Its called makeup, photoshop & plastic surgery for a reason - Fake.
And yet we still can't seem to believe God's word when He says we are Wonderfully & Fearfully made.

Bible Knowledge class today and Alfonsa asked me if I've ever seen an angel :) I said no, but it reminded me of the time where my family was involved in a car accident. I think I was about 4 or 5 years old when it happened. Its perhaps one of my earliest memories. We were driving along the road, and it was dark at night, when suddenly a car came out of nowhere and hit the car. No one was hurt but we were all shocked and rather scared.. Upon arriving home, we were tired out from the chaos of everything. My mom was really upset (She had a feeling that the car accident was a sort of Satanic attack) and was talking to Aunty Belinda.
I had no idea my mom was really upset, so I walked into the bathroom to get my toothbrush. The moment I opened the bathroom door, a bright light flashed in front of me and I have no idea why I thought it was an angel :) I ran to my mom and told her I just saw an angel! But when we went back to the bathroom, the bright light was gone. My mom told me that it was the angel that protected us while we were in the car accident. In a way it really comforted her that His angels are protecting us.
I don't know if it really was an angel, or just a malfunction with the bathroom light, but I do know God's angels guard His people.. :)

Just went into the Live Worship stream from IHOP and there was an intercession for Cairo going on. Ashley Prior is leading, shivers among my spine, the Holy Spirit is here & the anointing is upon her. God of the impossible.. It is not impossible for God to not work in Cairo, He is the God of yesterday, today and tomorrow. If He was able to work signs & wonders in Egpyt back in ancient days, He is able to work signs & wonders now. There is nothing too hard for God.
Intercession is powerful. Do not doubt the power.. Of prayer. Prayer works, because the God that listens, the God that hears and answers our prayers, is not a dead God. He is a Living God.

Protesters stopped an army officer from shooting himself as he sobbed, [Cairo, Egypt]
My heart broke when I saw this, I cried. My human emotions can only imagine slightly what Jesus must feel like, looking down on this nation, His nation, at all the hurting people who don't know Him, who reject Him, who are desperate for Him. Imagine the people crying out to their gods, where are they to save them now? Jesus, only He saves. Jesus, He loves them. Jesus,.. we need a miracle. He is the miracle.
I see the ring on his finger. He's married, maybe he has kids? Perhaps they're at home, watching the news fearfully; wondering if her husband, their father, is going to come back safe. I see the hopelessness in his eyes, maybe he thought that this life simply wasn't worth it. He's never going to win the fight against these violent protesters, what is this job worth? He might as well put the gun to his head and end it - But wait. There is a man. A man who dreams of freedom, a man who values life over an easy way out. And the army officer stops from pulling the trigger, as he breaks down crying. Maybe one day, there will be freedom. It is not his time - yet.
Egypt is a large, mostly Arab, mostly Muslim country. At around 80 million people, it has the largest population in the Middle East and the third-largest in Africa.
Read this and tell me it doesn't touch your heart. Tell me it doesn't make indignance and hurt well up in your heart.
"Do you see what Mubarak has been reduced to?" said a young man, coughing into the scarf his face was wrapped in. "Today's the beginning of a new Egypt, a free Egypt."
Freedom? Is this freedom? Hurting and desperate people, confused in the midst of all the violence and terror, freedom is what they call it? Fear, death, anger, confusion. Freedom? This is not freedom. Jesus is freedom.
Egypt. My heart breaks.

The fireworks just went off, huge bangs and flashes of light, Chinese New Year is here! Happy Chinese New Year everyone :) I'm sure it must have been tiring so far with all the preparations and cleaning the house and baking cookies/cakes!
Hmm, looking at all these fireworks, you're thinking, "Oh its so pretty!" but somehow do you realise that when looking at it, the expression is different than when you look at God's creations? :D Like the mountains, the seas, the sky, nature in general. The feeling of wonder and "Oh its so beautiful" is quite different than when you look at the fireworks. I don't know, its just what I feel. Nothing man-made can quite compete with the creativity God has in making His creations :) I mean if He can make like 60 billion people on this earth unique and individually created with their own idiosyncrasies and personalities, thats gotta be saying something! Not to mention, which God would ever think of making a creation with such a nose as the proboscis monkey?! God definitely has a sense of humour :)
Haha on to the fireworks! I actually am scared of them. Especially the long red firecrackers hanging on the pole, and the ones where you light up and throw and it goes BOOM! x100. So throughout the entire time I was like

this the whole night.
With a towel wrapped around my ears and nose. Haha! All my neighbours were like "WHAT UP WITH THIS GIRL" especially my new neighbours that just moved in next door. I'm sure now they're wondering what kind of neighbourhood they have just moved in to......

I realise I really don't like it when people act like they're smarter than me. I realise that I really don't like it when they try to give me correction. And I realise that I am really prideful. The cause of mans downfall - Pride. And it doesn't even have to be in the form of being arrogant, refusing correction from others, or acting like you're smarter than others. It can be in the form of your thinking too.
Where do you think the thoughts of, "Why does she act like that? Its so humiliating to herself." or "Thank God I'm not like that." come from? In a way its judging another person. I'm not pointing fingers, unless you count me pointing fingers at myself. Almost always too often I find myself wondering why another person does the things she does - Why can't he just buck up his act?
And Jesus says, "Did I die on the cross for you to receive righteousness that you could judge them?"
And I am reminded that there is no other judge, except Jesus. I'm sorry - to Jesus, for thinking I was in any position to judge. To everyone else, for acting like I was higher on the cross than them - for uncalled judgment, for un-given love, for held-back grace and unwilling forgiveness - The truth is, I am further in the dirt than any other person.
What can wash away my sins? What can make me whole again? Nothing but the blood.. Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
Once again, crawling back on my knees, overburdened with the weight of my sins and judgment of man.. Only to have Jesus run to me with His arms outstretched and grace overflowing. I'm so thankful.
