D'Encounter youth camp 09 was last week :) it was a great camp. God's presence was there, you could really feel it. And He spoke a lot to me as well, things that really touched my heart. Some things i can't share, its between me and God, and some things that I can share to encourage other people :) I don't wanna come out from that camp and forget all that has been spoken to me like all those other times, this time its for real, i'm keeping it in my heart and living by His word.

Another thing, i have reduced the amount of secular music i listen to. There was this session that the pastor shared with all those that were involved in the worship ministry, about how we should be careful about what we listen to. It was a slideshow about how secular music influences our thinking.

When you listen to certain secular songs backwards, you can actually hear different messages coming out of it. Its called 'backmasking'. You can google it if you want to learn more. Satanic messages, messages that are gonna influence your thinking and the way you live, and what you say or do in life. You might think its all bull, and that subliminal messages in songs can't influence you. But theres another part of your brain, called the subconscious, that will catch on to it and it will, without you knowing it, influence you. And it seriously scared the heck out of me.

Here's an example.
Dinner at Deviant's Palace - Cradle of Filth
When its played normally, you hardly hear anything worth hearing. But when its played backwards, you can hear the Lord's Prayer. They're singing the Lord's Prayer backwards. and for many of you, you guys are gonna be like, so what? its the Lord's prayer right, but just backwards! same thing right? they're praising God! Well, the Lord's Prayer recited backwards is used in the occult (also known at the anti-christ, black magic etc.) - its used to summon SATAN. :S

Another is Led Zeppelin's "Stairway to Heaven". When played backwards, you can hear things that contain Satanic references like, "here's to my sweet Satan" and "I sing because I live with Satan".

Or perhaps, Britney Spear's "Baby, One More Time". Played backwards, you hear "Sleep with me, I'm not too young." Oh and look what a fine role model she's turned out to be!

Another thing - Pokemon's theme song? "Gotta Catch em All"? Played backwards you hear, "I love Satan" repeated over and over again. Now I understand why my mom never allowed me to watch Pokemon when I was young..

The white crayon has to be by far the least commonly used crayon in the color box. Why is it in there? Did the makers of the crayons decide to be politically correct and create every shade under the sun from tickle me pink, to macaroni and cheese, down to razzle dazzle rose? Whatever they were trying to do they ignored one vital piece of information; white is not a color. (read more here)

Take risks: if you win, you will be happy; if you lose, you will be wise.

this morning, i was ironing my shirt for school (wooh, yeah, i actually do know how to iron!)
and suddenly, i burnt my hand.
now i actually understand what the term i read about in books actually means, "a white searing pain"

A day in the life of a Trenieken.

todayyy, woke up and went to piano tuition.
i had a dream last night that my piano teacher scolded me because i didn't practise, so i was rather worried for today lol. but she didn't scold me, so no worries. in fact, she has never scolded me for the 6+ years i've been with her o_o
i must be a good student. not. a good student that never practises, more like -.-

in the afternoon, went to church.
my church organised this rubbish collecting thing in our area, hui sing area. church community project :D
lala, we went around collecting rubbish. it made me realise that malaysian's are a bunch of dirty people lol. i can't believe hui sing is considered one of the cleanest areas in kuching.
altogether, we managed to collect about 50+ bags of rubbish. about a hundred people participated. some went to collect rubbish, while some of the adults stayed in the church to pray.

after that, ate at pizza hut, went to everise bdc, bought jaomi's present, mom bought this red nail polish which i don't know whether to love or to hate, blah blah, the end.

“Life is like a box of crayons. Most people are the 8-color boxes, but what you're really looking for are the 64-color boxes with the sharpeners on the back. I fancy myself to be a 64-color box, though I've got a few missing. It's ok though, because I've got some more vibrant colors like periwinkle at my disposal. I have a bit of a problem though in that I can only meet the 8-color boxes. Does anyone else have that problem? I mean there are so many different colors of life, of feeling, of articulation.. So when I meet someone who's an 8-color type.. I'm like, "Hey girl, magenta!" and she's like, "Oh, you mean purple!", and she goes off on her purple thing, and I'm like, "No - I want magenta!". -John Mayer

Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.

181. EVERYONE IS SO IN LOVE WITH BEING IN LOVE, THEY FORGET ABOUT WHO THEY'RE ACTUALLY "FALLING IN LOVE WITH." STOP FORCING YOURSELF TO FALL IN LOVE WITH PEOPLE YOU BARELY KNOW. IF THE RIGHT PERSON COMES ALONG YOU WON'T HAVE TO TRY, EVERYTHING WILL JUST FALL INTO PLACE. AND IT'S OK TO BE A LITTLE BIT LONELY FOR NOW, IT'LL ALL BE WORTH IT IN THE END. Got Wisdom?

1.infatuation - a foolish and usually extravagant passion or love or admiration
2.infatuation - temporary love of an adolescent
" Infatuation is instant desire, one set of glands calling to another.

Love is friendship that has caught fire. It takes root and grows, one day at a time.

Infatuation is marked by a feeling of insecurity. You are excited and eager, but not genuinely happy. There are nagging doubts, unanswered questions, little bits and pieces about your beloved that you would just as soon examine too closely. It might spoil the dream.

Love is the quiet understanding and mature acceptance of imperfection. It is real. It gives you strength and grows beyond you, to bolster your beloved. You are warmed by his presence, even when he is away. Miles do not separate you. You want him near. But near or far, you know he is yours and you can wait.

Infatuation says, “We must get married right away. I can’t risk losing him.”

Love says, “Be patient. He is yours. Plan your future with confidence.”

Infatuation has an element of sexual excitement. Whenever you are in one another’s company you are hoping it will end in intimacy.

Love is the maturation of friendship. You must be friends before you can be lovers.

Infatuation lacks confidence. When he’s away, you wonder if he’s cheating. Sometimes you check.

Love means trust. You are calm, secure, and unthreatened. He feels your trust and it makes him even more trustworthy.

Infatuation might lead you to do things you’ll regret later, but love never will.

Love lifts you up. It makes you look up. It makes you think up. It makes you a better person than you were before. "

I think its about time that people know the difference
between Love and Infatuation :)
Saves a lot of heartbreak for the world.

Things do not pass for what they are, but for what they seem. Most things are judged by their jackets.

i just can't understand why some girls can pile on sunscreen, moisturiser, foundation, eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, concealer, blusher, shimmer, lip liner, lipstick, lip gloss, loose powder, and still manage to move their faces without it cracking into a million pieces.

Don't get your knickers in a knot. Nothing is solved and it just makes you walk funny.

Why do we like or dislike certain people?

Is it true that,
"All the qualities we hate in others are things that we see in ourselves and don't like"
hmm, i don't know.
but as i read somewhere,
It would be quite difficult to admit that we are very similar to the people we think we hate.

I'm so boreddd.

Matthew 5:44-45

Matthew 5:44-45

"But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you,
do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who
spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be
sons of your Father in heaven.
He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good,
and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous."
Edit:

This verse made me think quite a lot. And it made me feel guilty.
I know in my new year resolutions, I said that I would love my enemies but I think I'm doing quite badly at that (that means that I failed, big time).
So I promised myself (and God) that I would love a certain person.
And be genuinely nice and kind to that person.
I think certain people from my class know who I'm talking about lo.
But yeah. I'm gonna be nice to everyone now xD Ahah.
