if i were a month, i’d be December
if i were a day of the week, i’d be Friday
if i were a time of day, i’d be 530am
if i were a planet, i’d be Venus
if i were a sea animal, i’d be a seahorse
if i were a direction, i’d be home
if i were a piece of furniture, i’d be a couch
if i were a historical figure, i’d be Oskar Schindler
if i were a liquid, i’d be mercury
if i were a gemstone, i’d be a ruby
if i were a tree, i’d be a willow
if i were a tool, i’d be a saw
if i were a flower, i’d be a forget-me-not
if i were a kind of weather, summer
if i were a musical instrument, i’d be a harmonica
if i were a color, i’d be shimmery
if i were an emotion, i’d be awe
if i were a fruit, i’d be a kiwi
if i were a sound, i’d be rain pouring down
if i were an element, i would be wind
if i were a car, i’d be really cool
if i were a food, i’d be sushi
if i were a place, i’d be heaven
if i were a material, i’d be cotton
if i were a taste, i’d be tangy
if i were a scent, i’d be floral
if i were an object, i’d be a pencil
if i were a day of the week, i’d be Friday
if i were a time of day, i’d be 530am

D'Encounter youth camp 09 was last week :) it was a great camp. God's presence was there, you could really feel it. And He spoke a lot to me as well, things that really touched my heart. Some things i can't share, its between me and God, and some things that I can share to encourage other people :) I don't wanna come out from that camp and forget all that has been spoken to me like all those other times, this time its for real, i'm keeping it in my heart and living by His word.
Another thing, i have reduced the amount of secular music i listen to. There was this session that the pastor shared with all those that were involved in the worship ministry, about how we should be careful about what we listen to. It was a slideshow about how secular music influences our thinking.
When you listen to certain secular songs backwards, you can actually hear different messages coming out of it. Its called 'backmasking'. You can google it if you want to learn more. Satanic messages, messages that are gonna influence your thinking and the way you live, and what you say or do in life. You might think its all bull, and that subliminal messages in songs can't influence you. But theres another part of your brain, called the subconscious, that will catch on to it and it will, without you knowing it, influence you. And it seriously scared the heck out of me.
Here's an example.
Dinner at Deviant's Palace - Cradle of Filth
When its played normally, you hardly hear anything worth hearing. But when its played backwards, you can hear the Lord's Prayer. They're singing the Lord's Prayer backwards. and for many of you, you guys are gonna be like, so what? its the Lord's prayer right, but just backwards! same thing right? they're praising God! Well, the Lord's Prayer recited backwards is used in the occult (also known at the anti-christ, black magic etc.) - its used to summon SATAN. :S
Another is Led Zeppelin's "Stairway to Heaven". When played backwards, you can hear things that contain Satanic references like, "here's to my sweet Satan" and "I sing because I live with Satan".
Or perhaps, Britney Spear's "Baby, One More Time". Played backwards, you hear "Sleep with me, I'm not too young." Oh and look what a fine role model she's turned out to be!
Another thing - Pokemon's theme song? "Gotta Catch em All"? Played backwards you hear, "I love Satan" repeated over and over again. Now I understand why my mom never allowed me to watch Pokemon when I was young..
